Please land on my finger Then I can linger I don’t have to rush through the day You don’t have to flutter Fly home to your mother Close your wings and with me stay Cats attack now butterfly Birds alerted from the sky But there’s no harm in pondering here with me Run through the grasses Green leg lashes Purple mountain majesty Hush don’t crush the butterfly Touch the dust he’s gonna die Don’t you feel protected here with me? I watch you but who’s watching me? Not the beetle or the bee They’re all going to the freedom party without me Freedom party, freedom party, freedom party Without me

Hard On Us 03:15
I’m not insane You’re not to blame People have trouble People have pain We take our marks Wait for the gun When it goes off Both start to run and run and run It’s been hard on us lately But still we remain Lovers who travel our own lover’s lane You take a thread I tie a knot Feet firmly planted Don’t move from your spot Bring in some fear Mix in some hope A little too much You’ll capsize the boat Let’s float, let’s float, let’s float It’s been hard on us lately But still we remain Lovers who travel our own lover’s lane Doctors don’t cure Children do shame Is this that truth they say comes in a grain? Bring in some fear Mix in some hope A little too much and you’ll capsize the boat Let’s float, let’s float, let’s float It’s been hard on us lately But still we remain Lovers who travel our own lovers lane

If I knew someone who died of cancer I’d need an answer as to why it happened If I heard of any child without a mother I’d need another reason why it happened Cuz I don’t believe in God I’m sorry I don’t believe the God of heartache Winners lose losers win It’s not over Four leaf clover makes you a lucky bastard I can be anything giver or taker Won’t meet my maker in no life hereafter Cuz I don’t believe in God.. The spring is sprung the grass is riz I wonder where dem boides is They only sing to hear their sound Echoing up from the ground Ohhh I don’t believe That God would do such a dirty job Of heartache

Have you ever been to Austin? I’ve heard you can really get away Pack up your troubles in a cowboy hat, yippee-ki-ay You can walk the streets, get something to eat You might even want to stay Ride out your heartache on a saddleback Yippee-ki-ay You're never lonely in Austin You won’t even feel bad I didn’t miss you in Austin Didn’t even feel sad I can make a friend Try and pretend I never want to leave this place Put all the photos that remind me of you away I’m never lonely in Austin I don’t ever feel bad I didn’t miss you in Austin Didn’t even feel sad Now that I’ve had time to think it over Cry on every single shoulder And if you asked me to take a plane or a train to Spain Yes I surely would Cuz I’m pretty lonely in Austin And I always feel bad I always missed you in Austin Never didn’t feel sad

A wild man made a pass at me I was on the road you see Traveling alone, rolling stone I learned what kind of gas was good Even looked under the hood Traveling alone, to write a roaming tome But when he did wink I turned into a southern belle All satin hoops and porch breezes And no one's allowed to say Jesus And quick as a wink I forgot my fighting skills I could have had anything I want Instead I wait here like a debutante Until I found you this would all be true I was down in a trench for days Air nor light could penetrate Digging alone, bone on bone The dirt was cool and it felt good Threw it over my shoulder like a soldier would Thinking of home, but not my own But when he did wink I turned into a southern belle All satin hoops and porch breezes And no one's allowed to say Jesus And quick as a wink I forgot my fighting skills I could have had anything I want Instead I wait here like a debutante Until I found you this would all be true

I built a house for Frank Lloyd Wright He said it was the best house he’d ever seen I designed a lamp for Tiffany They said it was the best lamp that’s ever been I flew the first airplane around the world They said it was the best flight they’d ever flown I invented the micro-chip and the corn chip They said they were the best chips they’d ever known I did all these things for you All this for you I waged a war for the unrepresented They said It was the best war they’d ever fought I cooled the warming of the globe They said it was the coldest globe It’s never hot I did all these things for you All this for you

Mr. Right 02:08
Mr. Right, Mr. Right Can’t go wrong There’s no mountain too big he won’t climb Always seems to have me on his mind Mr. Right…. Reading poetry by candlelight Knight in shining armor, shining knight Mr. Right… If you ever find one let me know Cause I had one I foolishly let go Mr. Right, Mr. Right I was so wrong

I want my baby back Despite all the things he lacks I’m living in an empty shack And that’s just a worn out fact He might mean a lot to you Live flowers and dinners too But he means a lot more to me We have a history We had three babies the house needed painting had to walk the dog We had a sink down the hall to the left kept getting clogged We had an old hand-me-down car that our friends laughed at We have a history You don’t have that You always wear perfume Like a flower just in bloom And laugh at his every joke Like it was the first time that he spoke Well I don’t read the latest news Cuz I don’t need no clues To me it’s no mystery We have a history We had three babies the house needed painting had to walk the dog We had a sink down the hall to the left kept getting clogged We had an old hand-me-down car that our friends laughed at We have a history You can’t take that We have a history And you can’t have that We have a history And you don’t have that We have a history Not a channel on TV It’s as real as real can be And I’m holding on tightly

I Smile 03:07
I smile Lips tight To show you I won’t bite I wonder What you’re thinking Read your mind Between your blinking I smile My lips tight To show you I won’t bite Come closer we might be closer than you know Come closer we might be closer than you know

about

“I Built a House for Frank Lloyd Wright” pays off in spades, resembling a cross between Case and Lucinda Williams. Although clocking in at 30 minutes, Callahan maximizes the quality here with the short and tender “Mr. Right” and the interesting rock-meets-roots of “We Have a History”.
